Typical Day in the Role
- Work with stakeholders and customers to understand and document business requirements
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
- Drive operational excellence for data ingestion, transformation and publication to ensure data accuracy and timeliness
- Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, validation, and documentation
- Triage many possible courses of action in a high-ambiguity environment, making use of both quantitative analysis and business judgment
- More independent work then collaborative

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. Experience
- 2+ Experience with data visualization using Quicksight or similar tool
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipeline
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Glue, and Redshif
- Experience in advanced SQL to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related technical/engineering field
Problem Solving
- Understanding of data engineering
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Master’s Degree in technical or engineering field
